A suburb of Columbus, the City of Pickerington is located both in Fairfield and Franklin counties; it has a population of 22,158 people. Pickerington was originally founded in 1815 and was called Jacksonville, named after President Andrew Jackson. It had that name until 1827 when the citizens at the time petitioned the Ohio State Legislature to change its name to Pickerington in honor of the town’s founder, Abraham Pickering.

It is located just east of Columbus.

I completed the scheduled maintenance agreement cooling and heating tune up on a Carrier air conditioner and gas furnace. I visually inspected the units. Then checked voltages, amps and pressures. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil, inspected the unit, and checked the refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. I then completed combustion analysis. I cycled and monitored the systems. All are operating normally at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on a York gas furnace. The customer stated that the furnace would not turn on. Upon inspection of the furnace I found the inducer motor was trying but would not turn on and found the bearings are locked. I could not find clear indications to why this was going on, but explained to the customer it needs replaced. The customer approved the repair. I turned the system off upon departure.
I completed a diagnostic on an American Standard gas furnace. The customer stated the furnace would not turn on. I checked the thermostat and found it to have no low voltage being sent to the furnace. There was connection issues as well as to confirming the thermostat had failed. With the customers, permission, I replaced the thermostat and ran the system. The furnace is now working properly at this time.
I completed a heating tune up on a Trane gas furnace. I visually inspected the unit and checked voltages, amps and pressures. I found the inducer motor motor bearings are beginning to grind. I called Trane to get the pricing and no longer make the part need. I explained with customer and they approved to replace the furnace.
I completed a scheduled maintenance agreement fall tune up Trane gas furnace. I visually inspected the unit and checked voltages, amps and pressures. Completed combustion analysis. Then I cycled and monitored the system. It is operating normally at this time.
Upon arrival I completed a Furnace Tune-Up and Safety Check. The system is operational upon departure.
I completed a diagnostic on a AC unit. I checked the Carrier furnace and it was all in good shape. I went to the outside unit and found neither the fan motor or compressor running. I opened the access panel and tested the capacitor with no issues, but found there was no coolant in the unit. Low pressure was detected, reason why the condenser was not working. I recommended the unit be replaced rather than recharging and leak search.
I installed a Carrier 96% Two-Stage 60,000 BTU Gas Furnace. I cycled and monitored the system and it is operating normally at this time.
